We believe in community and want our classes to be available to everyone who wishes to participate. We understand that cost can be prohibitive and therefore we offer a pay-what-you-can-afford pricing which means that all prices are suggested prices only. ⭐Please keep in mind that 100% of class fees go to feed families in need. Tours!
Description: Tours are educational in nature and last for about 1.5 hours. We see all
the facilities, walk through and see most of the gardens, test some veggies, meet
the crew and learn all about regenerative agriculture and our growing methods.
Tours have a suggested donation of $10 and is free for all CURRENT CSA members.
Class Length: 1.5 Hour

How to Grow on Your Own - a Four part class! – By Lorin Mattemore
Starting a garden this year? Want to learn how to start, manage and maintain, harvest and
store the crops from your garden? Join Ahavah Farm Nursery’s manager Lorin for a fundamental
gardening class: Learn everything from setting up your nursery and seeding your first seedlings
to management and setup of your garden, to harvesting and storing of your crops! This is sure
to be the absolute BEST class of it's kind taught by a local leader in nursery and garden
management!
Class Length: 1.5 Hour x 4 classes (The 2nd class is 2 hours)
Age Appropriate: 12+
1st Class: Friday, March 8th @ 10:00am-11:30am Introduction, ordering and starting seeds,
varieties, timing and season prep.
2nd Class: Friday, April 12th @ 10:00am-12:00pm Prepping your garden beds, irrigation,
infrastructure, inputs, compost etc.
3rd Class: Friday, May 10th @ 10:00am-11:30am Transplanting your seedlings, succession
planting, care and maintenance, weed management, irrigation and fertilizer schedules etc.
4th Class: Friday, June 7th @ 10am-11:30am When and how to harvest and store your crops.

Grow Your Own Microgreens! – By Lorin Mattemore
Description: What are microgreens and why do you want to make them a
steady part of your diet? Learn about this and so much more. Learn all the
fundamentals of not only HOW to grow microgreens, but you will learn
about maintaining them, harvesting them and how to enjoy them! Learn
about multiple kinds and become a microgreen master! Every member
goes home with a WHOLE tray of microgreens!!

KIDS CLASS! HOMESCHOOL DAY!
Description: Bring your kids out to the farm to enjoy a great day! Each Homeschool day will be different, but will include
Tours, activities, crafts, story-time's, bounce-house's, ziplines, petting zoo's and SO MUCH MORE!

Composting Basics! – By Mark Robinson
Description: Come learn all about the amazing art of composting. You will learn all the
fundamentals to get started including perfecting your mixture, timelines and what to
look for in addition to multiple different composting methods. Learn how to use it and
apply it to your garden, how to test it and so much more.
Class Length: 1.5 Hour
Age Appropriate: 12+

KIDS CLASS! Build a Windowsill Herb Garden for Mom and Dad – By Asher Camire
Description: Bring your children out to make a Windowsill garden for Mother’s day and for
Father's day! A beautiful pine box stained with an organic wheat-based seal to make for a
gorgeous addition to your Mom or Dad's garden! We will build the box from scratch and
fill it with four beautiful herbs to take home to your Mom or Dad for a wonderful gift!
Herbs included: Chives, Oregano, Thyme and Parsley
Class Length: 1-2 Hours

KIDS CLASS! Blacksmith a Garden Tool and Learn Blacksmithing Basics – By Asher Camire
Description: Learn the basics of blacksmithing and take home your project! We will learn the
fundamentals of how to get you started in blacksmithing – terminology, basic skills, safety
and a bit of history. We will make a garden weeder for you take home and use in your
garden! Great gift for Mom and dad too!

Biblical Agriculture! – By Yosef Camire
Description: We are so excited to introduce this new class by Jewish farmer, Yosef Camire as he leads us through the Bible to teach us the many lessons regarding Biblical Agriculture! Learn about the agricultural laws, the values of farming according to the Bible, the agricultural basis for the holidays and experience awesome inspiration as we delve into the Word of Gd and travel back in time to learn how all of this ties into our practices today! Practical, inspirational and in-depth, this is a class for all who want to learn more about Jewish practices, Christian roots or are simply interested in morally-sound principles that can be applied to farming and gardening today!
Class Length: 1.5 Hour x 4 classes
Age Appropriate: 12+
1st Class: Friday, November 15th, 2024 @ 10:00am-11:30am Introduction, history of
biblical agriculture, biblical agricutural values.
2nd Class: Friday, December 13th, 2024 @ 10:00am-12:00pm Holidays, values, tikkun
olam and environmental stewardship.
3rd Class: Friday, February 14th, 2025 @ 10:00am-11:30am Biblical laws (including
those in Israel vs outside of the land), animal care, kosher slaughter.
4th Class: Friday, March 14th, 2025 @ 10:00am-11:30am Tying it all together:

KIDS CLASS! - The Wonderful World of Bees – By Beekeeper Havah Camire
Description: Bees are critical to our world, our environment and our food system! Learn about the magical world of beekeeping and learn the basics of these amazing creatures and how they impact our world! Learn about the anatomy of bees, see inside a bee colony, learn about how bees make honey, how they brood and how we, as beekeepers harvest this honey. This class will be interactive and the kids will be able to explore models, see live bees inside a clear enclosure and get to hold and touch all of the tools of beekeeping.
